Match Preview : Crystal Palace vs Manchester City

After a commendable run of form, Crystal Palace have faltered of late having failed to win any of their last five league matches, losing four.

The international break will have come as a welcome reprieve for Pardew, though the welcome of Manchester City is not what he will have wanted so soon after the domestic hiatus.

City were forced to settle for a point in the welcome of Middlesbrough last time out as a late goal saw them lose ground in the race for the title. Guardiola’s side, though, have failed to win only one of their last five visits to Selhurst Park, so will be confident of a return to winning ways.

The home support will demand a return to victory, but their winless run could continue on Saturday.

Team News

Crystal Palace – Alan Pardew is without Pape Souare, Loic Remy and Jonathan Benteke due to injury.

Steve Mandanda and Bakary Sako are both doubts, though the former should be fit to start against Manchester City.

Pardew could name the same XI that started the 3-2 defeat at Burnley prior to the international break.

Manchester City – Fabian Delph is ruled out for Manchester City, while Bacary Sagna, Vincent Kompany and Fernando are all doubts here.

Aleksandar Kolarov could start at left-back, though Gael Clichy will hope to continue in the role.

Pep Guardiola is hardly expected to spring any surprises in the final third, with Sergio Aguero deployed ahead of Kevin De Bruyne, Ilkay Gundogan, David Silva and Raheem Sterling.
