Manchester United

Paul Pogba and Marcus Rashford are both ruled out Sunday’s Manchester derby.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Daniel James missed out against Derby through injury but are both expected to be fit to feature here.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will have to make at least one sacrifice on Sunday. Either a third centre-back or Nemanja Matic or Scott McTominay in midfield.

Harry Maguire rolled his ankle in midweek and is a doubt for the derby, though it would be a surprise if he missed out.

Odion Ighalo scored twice against Derby to make it three goals in two starts since joining but may only make the bench here.

Axel Tuanzebe returned to the matchday squad against Derby after a lengthy spell out.

Manchester City

Pep Guardiola has revealed Kevin De Bruyne is a serious doubt for Sunday’s Manchester derby with a shoulder injury. There is still hope he will be okay to feature but may only make the bench.

With Aymeric Laporte already ruled out, De Bruyne’s absence would be another hammer blow for the away side.

Ilkay Gundogan is an option in midfield, which would push Bernardo Silva into Manchester City’s front three.
