Kayserispor missed out on the chance to beat fellow relegation contenders Konyaspor last time out. They haven’t been able to win in their last five home games, which is the main reason why they are sitting at the bottom of the table. With Prosinecki’s arrival, they have started to show some spirit though. However, the squad lacks quality, and Prosinecki, despite all his good intentions, seems to lack the tactical nous required to keep the team up. They will control possession in this game, but whether anything will come out of that is another question.
Goztepe were held to a draw by Gaziantep last time out. Palut’s counterattacking game plan works wonderfully away from home, and against big clubs, but when faced with teams defending very deep, Goztepe look toothless. Palut has identified this as their main problem as well, and he will be on the market for a creative midfielder in summer. Against Kayserispor, who have to win, though, they will be able to execute his counterattacking plans and find a lot of space in the final third.
