UEFA CL Match Preview : Bayern Munich vs PSV Eindhoven

Tuesday, October 18th, 2016

Bayern will be keen to bounce back from a 1-0 defeat to Atletico Madrid in their most recent Champions League outing. The Bundesliga side were held to a 2-2 draw with Eintracht Frankfurt at the weekend, so their preperation hasn’t been ideal.

PSV are yet to win in Europe’s elite competition this term, taking one point from a possible six available so far. Their league form has been poor to say the least, with just two wins from the last six, while the Dutch giants have failed to win their last three competitive outings.

They face a tough task to return to winning ways, with Bayern favourites to secure all three points here.

Team News

Bayern Munich – Jerome Boateng and Mats Hummels could start at centre-back against PSV, though Javi Martinez is hoping to keep his place in the starting XI.
Franck Ribery is the club’s only injury concern for the welcome of PSV.
Arjen Robben is pushing for a start after netting early on against Eintracht Frankfurt, though could miss out on a place in the XI.
PSV Eindhoven – Jorrit Hendrix misses out for PSV here, with Bart Ramselaar in line to deputise in the middle of the park.
Jurgen Locadia and Luuk Koopmans join Hendrix on the sidelines.
PSV could line up in a familiar 4-3-3 formation having opted against the system in the Champions League so far.

As at this post Bayern Munich has 1.28 odd to win the match on NaijaBet while PSV Eindhoven has 10.74odd to win the match also, while the odd to draw the match is 6.61

UEFA CL Match Preview : Barcelona vs Manchester City

Tuesday, October 18th, 2016

Barcelona top Group C having won their two Champions League games this season. The La Liga champions have conceded just one goal across their two European outings and will be confident of once again getting the better of Manchester City.

Pep Guardiola returns to Camp Nou for the second time as opposing manager and will hope for a better performance than his previous visit, where his Bayern Munich side fell to a 3-0 loss. However, City have lost their four Champions League meetings with Barcelona, which adds to the pressure coming into this tie.

This will prove to be a good test to determine how far along City have come under Guardiola, but Barcelona should win here.
